Apple hosted one of its famous product unveiling events on April 20, 2021, and there are a ton of  exciting updates.

Apple Spring-Loaded Event Announcements

Colors have also been a big feature of Apple’s April 20th “Spring Loaded” product launch event. Apple has unveiled a new color for its iPhone 12 – purple! Pre-orders begin Friday April 23, and the phone will officially be available on April 30.

The company is also launching a majorly redesigned line of iMacs. This includes five bold color options, but perhaps more importantly, a 24-inch 4.5K Retina Display, 11.3M pixels and a 1080p camera.

Here are some more exciting Apple event announcements:

  • Apple has launched a podcast subscription service
  • The new Apple Card digital wallet will help partners build credit together
  • New Apple 4k TVs will come with new Siri remotes
  • The iPad Pro will include the M1 silicon chip, improved battery life, 5g connectivity and new Thunderbolt port
  • A new Magic Keyboard will include Touch ID
  • Apple’s new AirTag will find lost items for you

Apple iPhone Camera Updates

But even with all of the exciting new announcements, we’re still waiting to hear about iPhone Camera updates.

Recently, analyst Ming-chi Kuo reported that the 2022 High-end Apple iPhones (the iPhone Pro models) will come with newly upgraded cameras.

The specs are expected to include a 48-megapixel sensor for the primary camera. These types of sensors have already been available in Android phones, but they’re an exciting new feature for iPhone lovers.

Word is that the iPhone camera will have a 1/1.3-inch sensor with a pixel size of 1.25µm. But it will be more like 2.5µm when you use the sensor for 12-megapixel images.

The iPhone camera will also be able to shoot 8K video. Again, this is something that’s existed on Android phones for a while – but it’ll be a huge improvement from the 4k we’re used to with our current iPhones.

Here’s hoping these predictions will be confirmed by Apple soon! New iPhone models are generally released in September.
